Obituary for Martha Lou Puckett Dodd Green Martha Lou Puckett Dodd Green, age 88, of Spring Creek Community, died Saturday morning, December 22, 2018 in a local assisted living facility. A native of Gordon County, GA Mrs . Green was born September 17, 1930 in the Oakman community and was the daughter of the late June Andrew Puckett and Minnie Janie Russell Puckett.

She was employed by Berry College as a housekeeping supervisor, and worked at Celanese for many years. Mrs. Green was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and was a volunteer at Floyd Training Center for the mentally challenged. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by a son Gerald Russell Dodd, a grandchild Andrea June Young, and a sister Ruth Longione.

Survivors include her children Gayland Dodd and his wife Julia of Rome and Sandra G. Grooms and her husband Robert of Florida; grandchildren Andrew Dodd, Jr and Dr. Alexandra Dodd . Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Monday, December 24, at the chapel of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue with Reverend J.R. McWhorter officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 11 AM until the service hour. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to express their appreciation to Cave Spring Manor and Heyman Hospice for their compassionate care.
