OBITUARY Martha “Marty” Jane McFillen August 12, 1952 – January 26, 2019 Martha “Marty” Jane McFillen, 66, of Lake Charles, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Harbor Hospice. She was born to her late parents, E.G. and Athalie McFillen in Lake Charles, LA on August 12, 1952. In her earlier years, she had owned McFillen Rent A Car in Lake Charles.

She loved arts and crafts; along with needle point. Marty was very active in the PTA for many years. Most of all, she loved her family, who she was very proud of.

She is survived by her two children, Jared Edwards of Moss Bluff and Jessica Edwards of Lake Charles; and one brother, Terry McFillen and wife Alice of Lafayette. Marty is preceded in death by her parents; along with a brother, Myron McFillen. A Celebration of Marty’s life will be held at a later date.
