OBITUARY Ruth Elizabeth Chaumont May 21, 1939 – January 22, 2019 Ruth Elizabeth Chaumont, 79, of Moss Bluff went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 22, 2019. She was born in Sumter, SC but lived in Moss Bluff since 1972. She lived in Germany for 3 years, France for 4 years as part of her 20 years of being an Air Force wife.

She worked for the CPSB as a school bus driver and as a registrar of voters in Moss Bluff. She had a strong Christian faith. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Warren Chaumont; sons, Andre Chaumont (Sharon) of Ragley; Maurice Chaumont (E.

Grey Talley) of Pollock, LA; daughter, Collette George (Ronnie) of Moss Bluff; brothers, Tom Hodge (Mary) of Charleston, SC; Howard Hodge (Jodi) of Greatfalls, SC; sister, Margaret Henderson of Sumter, SC; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Horace Hodge and Ruth Carroll Hodge; daughter, Sharon (Lynn) Weeks; and sisters, Donnie Hodges and Gwen Hammel. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 5 – 8 pm and will resume on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 12:00 pm.

Funeral Service will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Garden in Lake Charles. Words of comfort and fond memories may be shared with the family at www.
