OBITUARY David Martin Pendley February 22, 1966 – January 11, 2019 David Martin Pendley, 52 and Katherine “Nig” Pendley, 59, passed away and went to be with their Lord on Friday, January 11, 2019. David and Katherine had been “best friends” for the duration of their 28 year marriage. Admired for their charitable and compassionate natures, often found dedicating their time feeding the homeless and opening their home to those in need.

When not serving others, together they enjoyed traveling, time with their family and their faith. David was born February 22, 1966 to William and Theresa Pendley in Richland, Washington. An analytical and meticulous man by nature, he loved his position as a lab analyst with Louisiana Pigment.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, reading, his fruit trees, chickens and T-Rex; the beloved family dog, but his second love was the close inspection and disassembling of things to “attain how they work”, an attribute that drove his desire to learn. Katherine was born January 20, 1959 to Finley and Eve Dawsey in Kinder, LA. Her love for life allowed her to enjoy many things in her life; including the chance to repel off the Capital One building and working on a search and rescue team.

She recently accepted a position with Calcasieu Parish School Board. She loved gardening, the color blue; especially David’s blue eyes and tending to her family. They leave behind two sons: Alex Pendley and his wife April of Sulphur; Chase Pendley of Sulphur.

David’s parents William and Theresa Pendley; One sister: Dawn Skinner and husband Richard of DeRidder. Katherine’s brother: Lynn Dawsey and wife Lori of Elton; One sister; Calevene “Dean” Duplichan of Westlake. They are preceded in death by Katherine’s parents and their beloved dog; T-Rex.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 10am to 2pm at Livingway Pentecostal Church of Lake Charles. Funeral Services will be officiated by Bishop Charles Nugent, beginning at 2pm Saturday, January 19, 2019 with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
