Obituary of Martha Luther Martha Louella Williamson Luther, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation in Biscoe. Mrs. Luther was born In Moore County on December 14, 1927, to Ernest and Bonnie Cooper Williamson. She was a retired hosiery mill employee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Luther; son, Israel Luther; sisters, Vellie Bray, Margie Stewart, and Betty Henley; and brothers, Clyde Williamson, C.M. Williamson, and Tommy Williamson. She is survived by two daughters, Jennie Ward of Star and Dorothy Poole of Mooresville; two sons, Jimmy Luther of Chapel Hill and Jerry Luther of Fayetteville; two sisters, Lucille Carter of Asheboro and Judy Stevens of Star. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 – 10:45 AM, Saturday, October 13, at Phillips Funeral Home.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Asheboro.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Montgomery County Relay for Life, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
