Marti Lynn Gluntz Reese October 17, 1957 – March 04, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Marti Lynn Gluntz Reese Marti Lynn Gluntz Reese, a resident of Conestoga View Nursing Home, Lancaster, PA passed away on March 4, 2019. She was born October 17, 1957 in Newark, Delaware, the eldest child of Dr. Martin L. and Marilyn (nee Gingrich) Gluntz (both deceased). She was a graduate of Hershey High School, Hershey, PA.

After graduation she worked for the Hershey Foods Corporation in the Hershey Factory’s wrapping and molding departments. Later she attended Harrisburg Area Community College, where she earned a Nurse’s Assistant Certification. She worked in several nursing homes in the Lebanon/Lancaster area before becoming a Private Home Health Care Aide.

Marti was an enthusiast fan of NASCAR and the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. Her creek house was a place of refuge for her where she could fish, work in her vegetable garden, play with her dogs and entertain family and friends. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making many of her mother’s and grandmothers’ family recipes.

While in high school she learned to ride horses and was able to use this talent as a nurse’s aide, helping young people with medical challenges. She is survived by her son, Bradley Van Scyoc and his wife, Monica; grandson Zachary Van Scyoc; her devoted sister, Marcia and husband, Colonel Robert Montz; brothers: Michael Gluntz and wife, Maureen; Matthew Gluntz and Marcy Perez; Mitchell Gluntz; nieces Kathleen and Emily Gluntz, Amber Montz; nephew Blake Montz; 2nd Mom Karen McHenry Gluntz; dear friend, Mike Heller; and husband, Kenny. There will be a private service held at the Hershey Cemetery at a later date.
