Mary Ann (Mangeno) Harhai, 80, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born Sept. 18, 1937, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Carmen (Kelly) and Carmela Mangeno.

Mrs. Harhai had been employed by the Joseph Horne Co. for 28 years and retired from the New Team Kunkle’s as the phone operator and everyone’s Mom. She was also a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She will be remembered as a true friend and a surrogate Mom and Grandma to many.

She loved children and was passionate about making them love her. Her other passions were anything purple and the wonderful world of QVC and HSN. Shopping was an art to her and she loved buying gifts for everyone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen “Chip” Harhai Sr.; her brother, John Mangeno; and a sister, Ida Clark. She is survived by her two sons, Stephen Harhai Jr. and wife, Paula, and Bryan Harhai and wife, Ranelle; grandchildren, Joshua and Elizabeth; a brother, Dominic Abbott; and a sister, Carmela Dipalma; and many nieces and nephews and adopted family. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC.

, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, where a funeral liturgy outside of Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Father Dan Blout, presiding. Private entombment will take place in St. Clair Cemetery. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their unprecedented care.

Also, the staff and residents of Westmoreland Manor, especially the A-1 gang who made the last 10 months of her life feel like she was at home with friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Westmoreland Manor Recreation Fund, 2480 S. Grande Blvd. , Greensburg, PA 15601.
