Funeral services for Mary Ann Foster, 85, of Mabank, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, January 7, 2019, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Mary Ann passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

Mary Ann Ansel was born November 26, 1933, in Houston, TX, to Harold Ansel and Eva Felder. She was raised all over Texas. Mary Ann later attended Trinity Valley Community College and graduated with honors.

She then attended the University of Texas at Tyler majoring in History and Music. Mary Ann married Richard Dean and he preceded her in death in June of 1995. She then married Jim Foster in March of 1996 and they made their home in Payne Springs.

Mary Ann was a piano and voice teacher for many years. She owned and operated S.W. Accents & More for fourteen years and put twenty years into ancestry research and wrote a book called Felder Roots & Branches. Mary Ann enjoyed gardening, collecting coins and stamps and loved her cats.

She is preceded in death by parents, Harold and Eva Ansel; her first husband, Richard Dean and her youngest daughter, Eva Durham. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Jim Foster of Lake Fork, TX; children, Debbie Breen and husband Les of Youngstown, OH, Tami Verney and husband Tom of Carrollton, TX and Rick Dean and wife Susanne of Carrollton, TX; brothers-in-law, Tommy Foster of Lake Fork, TX, Tony Foster of Palestine, TX and Jack Foster of Winnsboro, TX; step-children, Keith Foster of Sulphur Springs, TX and Shelly Foster of Gun Barrell City, TX; sister, Martha Haspany of OK; many grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
