Tina’s Obituary Celebration of life for Arthena “Tina” Mae Cox, 77, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, at International Outreach Church in Wills Point with Pastor Mike Williams officiating. Services are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point. She passed away Tuesday night, February 5, 2019, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Kaufman.

Tina was born March 30, 1941, in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Lester Smith and Beulah Arnold Smith. She was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she graduated in 1959, from Manual High School. On March 13, 1960, she married David Russell Cox in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Tina was formerly employed as secretary for First Southwest Investment Banking, and a sales clerk for Sterling Jewelry. At Home Interiors, Tina was the top sales person three years in a row, winning a free white mink coat, our first color television, and a trip to Hawaii. Later, she was a legal secretary in Oak Cliff, Texas Instruments, as well as for Bill Hullum, Sr. in Wills Point.

Tina became a charter member of the International Outreach Church in 1982. She retired in 2001, where she was the church secretary for eighteen years. Tina loved her church!

Prior to moving to Wills Point in 1977, she lived in Richardson. One of her hobbies was painting. She was an extremely talented painter, which included many outstanding portraits!

She also loved to cook. Many times her grandson, Zac, would come over to learn how to fix some of her recipes. Tina put a lot of effort into typing up all her recipes on the computer, in which there are over 2,000!

She gave all the family members a copy of all of them on CD. In addition to all this, she also was a very skilled seamstress. Tina always put 100% effort into all she did, and it showed throughout her whole life.

One of the biggest loves of her life, other than her Lord, were her children, grandchildren and great-grandson! They simply meant the world to her, and we always knew it! Tina was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Beulah Smith.

Tina is survived by her husband, David Cox, of Wills Point; son, Brad Cox & wife, Ali, of Canton; daughter, Tracy Villatoro & husband, Gian, of Odessa; brother, Joe Smith & wife, Gloria, of Chino, CA; five grandchildren, Bryan Schaubroeck, Zac Schaubroeck, Russ Cox, Garrison Cox and Emma Cox and one great-grandchild, Maddox Schaubroeck.
