Joe’s Obituary Jerry Joe Jeane, 77, of Edgewood, passed away at home February 4, 2019, surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at St. Justin’s Episcopal Church, 977 TX-243, Canton.

Joe was born Aug. 26, 1941, in Shreveport, La. to the late Henry Edwin and Euna Vee Rice Jeane.

He attended Fair Park High School and Northwestern State University. He served in the army and was a Vietnam veteran. Joe loved his family, animals, ranching and anything western.

He was happiest when he was outdoors working around his ranch. He was a good man with a kind heart who was always willing to help anyone. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Charlotte Bamburg Jeane; children, Christy Jeane McCraw of Benton, La.

, Philip Jeane and wife, Melinda of Wills Point; stepchildren, Dr. Gustavo Canelon and wife, Lorena of Miami, Fla. and Steven Canelon and wife, Marina of Las Vegas, Nev. ; brothers, Herb Jeane and wife, Cynthia of Haughton, La.

, Dr. Marty Jeane and wife, Daena of Arlington; brother-in-law, Danis Bamburg and wife, Brenda of Tyler, sister-in-law, Lynnette Ferguson and husband, Dale of Longview; grandchildren, Tyler McCraw, Allie McCraw and Preston Jeane; step-grandchildren, Victoria and Danny Canelon; nephews, Chad Jeane and wife, Jennifer, Michael Jeane and wife, Cate, Alex Jeane; niece, Natalie Leistikow and husband, Alain; former wife and mother of his two children, Linda Brangato Jeane; beloved cousins the Howards and Kavanaughs; and special friends, Tommy Malone and Percy Brown. A special thank you to Staci, Ann, Laura and everyone at Autumn Woods Hospice for their loving care of Joe. God looked around His garden And found an empty place.

He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. Then closed your weary eyelids And whispered “Peace be Thine”.
