Mary Ann Kirmel,78, of Grafton died Sat. April 14, 2018 at her home in Grafton. She was born July 7, 1939 in Worcester, the daughter of the late Anthony and Sophie (Jinitas) Kirmel.

Mary passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by people who cared about her. Mary was always known as a happy person who always had a smile on her face. Mary lived in a group home through the Seven Hills Foundation for that past 13years.

Mary attended the Alternatives Senior Enrichment… Read More » program in Douglas, MA. Mary had many friends there and she enjoyed hosting them at her home for card and game parties. Mary always talked fondly of her family and her life growing up.

Mary had a pure, kind heart and if she knew someone was struggling she would always offer to pray for them. Mary loved to go shopping and loved to get her nails done. Mary enjoyed living in her home in Grafton and appreciated the staff that cared for her.

Mary was not one to complain no matter what she had to endure she always had a positive outlook. Mary will be missed by all those who were touched by her gentle, sweet demeanor. She is survived by many close friends.

Mary was predeceased by her brother, Anthony Kirmel. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 10 AM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 480 Church St., Whitinsville. www.
