Richard A. Whitehouse, 85, of Uxbridge, MA, formerly of Cumberland, RI, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Richard was born February 27, 1933 in Woonsocket, RI to George and Stella (Breault) Whitehouse. He graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1950, served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, and received a degree from Dean College in 1955.

He is survived by his wife Lucille; their three children Nancy L. Whitehouse and her husband Glenn Brodeur of Franklin, MA, James O. Whitehouse of Uxbridge, MA, and Richard G. Whitehouse of Glocester, RI; two grandchildren, James M. Amicarella and his wife Jessica of Windsor, CO, Courey A. Laube and her husband Aaron of Woodbury, MN; and his four great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents and his older brother Daniel R. Whitehouse and is survived by his younger brother Paul A. Whitehouse and his wife Pauline of Florida. Our world will never be the same, and it is not because he is gone; it is because he lived. He was an ordinary man who led an extraordinary life.

There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 11th at St. Mary Parish, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge, MA 01569. Burial will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, Uxbridge. www.
