Obituary for Mary Ann Ashley Mary Ann Ashley, 87, of Peora, died peacefully in her sleep at 1:50am, Monday, August 20, 2018 at the St. Barbara’s Memorial Nursing Home in Monongah. She was born in Blairsville, PA, August 16, 1931, a daughter of the late Thomas Young and Louise Eels Dry. Twice married, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Wallace, and then on July 19, 2004 by her second husband Harold W. Ashley, Sr., whom she married September 7, 1952.

Surviving are three children, Carrie Ridenour, Shinnston, Harold W. Ashley, Jr. and his wife Lila, Lumberport, Debbie Morgan and her husband Jeff, Latrobe, PA, eight grandchildren, Heather Canfield, Chris Ridenour, Tamara Ryan, Crystal Wallace, Thomas Wallace, Melissa Bennett, Logan Ashley, and Shonda Ashley, seven great- grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Wallace and George W. Ashley, and three sisters. Mrs. Ashley was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Shinnston.

She loved to work puzzles, crosswords, and read books. The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 11am until the time of the service at Noon on Wednesday, August 22, with Pastor Allan Copenhaver officiating. Interment will be in the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
