Obituary for Mary Annette Berry Annette “Lovey” Berry, 73, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018. She was born in Daviess County on September 21, 1944, to the late Samuel Richard Berry and Carmel Haynes Berry. She was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church.

Annette worked as an RN for 22 years and went on to retire from the Carmel Home in 2007. After retiring she worked at the HealthPark and the After-School Program at the OCS 4-6 Campus. She was a big UK basketball fan, an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and Mahjong.

Along with her parents, Annette is preceded in death by her sister Mary Eva Wilkins and infant brother John Anthony Berry. She is survived by her children Alex Skuropat of Daphne, Alabama and Andre Skuropat of Gilbert, South Carolina; her grandchildren Ian Skuropat and Aislinn Skuropat, both of Pensacola, Florida. She is also survived by her siblings: Dick (Janet) Berry of Rockport, Indiana; Mike (Patti) Berry of Bradenton, Florida; David (Jeanne) Berry of Bradenton, Florida; and Barbie (Dr. John) Howard of Owensboro, Kentucky.

She leaves behind several nieces and nephews but was especially close to Sarah Howard; Rachel (Derek) Blair and their children Sadie, John Thomas and Cooper; Kathryn (John) Benson and their daughter Ellie; and Sam Howard. She is also survived by her best friend Diane Rafferty. Services will be 5:00 pm Friday, July 27, 2018 at Immaculate Catholic Church, with Father Tony Jones officiating.

Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm Friday at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Immaculate Catholic Church, 2516 Christie Place, Owensboro, Kentucky 42301, or the Carmel Home; 2501 Old Hartford Road; Owensboro, Kentucky 42303.
