Obituary for Mary Hodge Mary Cockerill Hodge, 86, widow of Ollie Huggins Hodge, died Saturday, September 15, 2018, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Born October 2, 1931, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Ceasar DuPree Cockerill and the late Gaynell Davis Cockerill. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

She retired from Sumter County Family Court. Mrs. Hodge and her husband owned and operated Hodges Country Store and a poultry farm. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Sarah L. Moore (David) of Hurst, TX; and special relatives, Bill Hodge, Jr. (Gwen), Bill Hodge, III (Tiffany), Eldridge Davis (Sharon), Cheryl Bruce, Joe Canty, Norman Hodge, and Harmon Hodge.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas D. Cockerill. Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Wednesday at Providence Baptist Church with Lead Pastor Pat Coffey, the Rev. Dr. Harold Greene, and Ministerial Assistant Wayne McElveen officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home 2350 Old Manning Rd. Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 2445 Old Manning Rd.
