Mary E. (Murphy) Wrobel, 80, of Methuen, passed away peacefully at the Wood Mill Center in Lawrence on March 14, 2019. The daughter of the late John J. and Margaret D. (Clancy) Murphy, Mary was born in Haverhill, MA on May 25, 1938. She was educated in Haverhill schools and was a graduate of Haverhill High School.

She received her nursing degree locally and was a licensed registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She was employed as a R.N. at Lawrence General Hospital and Kenoza Hillcrest Nursing Home in Haverhill for many years until her retirement. She resided in Methuen for the past 40 years and attended St. Monica’s Church in Methuen.

The wife of the late Julian Wrobel and the mother of the late Daniel Wrobel, Mary is survived by her children, Mary T. Khan, John Wrobel and his wife Kim Wrobel, and James Wrobel; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral Mass on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM in St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence St, Methuen. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
