Funeral services for Mary Ervalene McConnell, 76, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 5:00 PM, Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood with visitation starting at 4:00 PM. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mary Ervalene Henderson was born on November 2, 1941, in Grand Saline, TX, to parents, Henry Ervin Henderson and Cleo Day Henderson.

She was raised in Edgewood and later Moved to Pleasant Grove, graduating from SS Conner High School in Dallas. Mary lived in the Houston area and worked for Continental Airlines for 25 years as a flight attendant. She moved back to Edgewood to be near family for the last 8 years.

Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Edgewood. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Cleo Henderson and a brother, Ben Henderson. Mary is survived by her daughter, Dana Lee McConnell of Houston; brother, Mike Henderson of Edgewood; granddaughter, Alli Nasser of Houston and many loving nieces and nephews.
