Mary Evelyn (Davis) McCord, age 88, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018, at home. Mary was born May 22, 1930, in Christian County, KY, to the late Lem Ashley and Ruby (Rogers) Davis. She moved to Evansville, IN in September 1957 where she was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from Smith & Butterfield after 21 years.

Mary loved spending time with her family, and she enjoyed shopping and eating out. She is survived by her sons, Charles “Ray” McCord, Gary Keith McCord (Debbie Chapple), and Michael Glenn McCord (Joan); granddaughters, Abbey Tinsley (Glen), Angie McCord (Carlos), Cassie Letson (Derrick), Holly Tepool (Jon); and Kelsey McCord; grandsons, Travis McCord (Deonna) and Jason McCord (Jessica); step-granddaughter, Tammy Sokeland (Ed); 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; 3 nieces; and 3 nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jo Ann Davis Martin; brother, Thomas “Tommy” Davis; sister-in-law, Martha Davis; daughter-in-law, Patricia McCord; and grandson, Gary “Kevin” McCord.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Jason McCord officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn Mausoleum. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
