Rickert May 07, 1950 – May 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card There will be a Memorial service at 11 AM on Saturday May 25, 2019 at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home for Mary F. Rickert, age 69, of Liberty Township who passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday May 20, 2019 at Beeghly Oaks Nursing Home in Boardman. Mary was born May 7, 1950 in Louisa, Kentucky a daughter of John H. & Sarah M. Hughes Chaney. She was a graduate of Springfield High School.

Mary was an active member of Northside Baptist Church of Youngstown for over 40 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and loved fishing with her husband James. Mary loved spending time with her family and loved each and every one of them.

She was always smiling and happy and her loving spirit touched everyone who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her family; her best friend and love of her life, her husband James A. Rickert whom she married February 16, 1985; her siblings, John H. (Peggy) Chaney Jr. of Hubbard, Dorothy (Newt Harris) Grachanin of Youngstown, Alice (Richard) Burrows of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, LeRoy (Karen) Chaney of Andover, Wanda Palguta of Youngstown, Larry Chaney of Youngstown, Carl Chaney of Youngstown, Rosie (Pat) Carano of Struthers, and Ron (Tina) Chaney of Youngstown. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, including a niece she took as her daughter, Angie Madeline and her children Zoey Simpson and Amanda Madeline.

Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers James E. Chaney, Thomas Chaney, Lon Chaney, Robert Chaney, and her sister Shirley Sferra. There will be calling hours prior to the service on Saturday May 25, 2019 from 10-11 AM at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home. Mary will be laid to rest at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
