Born November 9, 1942, in Hinton, W.Va, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John S. Webb in 2011 after 32 years of marriage. Mary graduated from John Marshall High School in 1960 and entered Grace Hospital School of Nursing that September.

Graduating in 1963, she worked as a registered nurse until the Spring of 2004 when she retired to care for her husband who had been recently diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s Disease. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Smith Ravan (Dale) of Boiling Springs, S.C. and Andrea Smith Hollins (Tim) of Bumpass; stepdaughters, Cheri Furhman, Kim Dowdle (Doug) and Tracee Bowles, all of Richmond; and grandchildren, Amanda and Daniel Ravan, Dillon, Cole and Griffin Hollins, Stacey and Emma Dowdle, Jason Murphy and Gabrille Bowles. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd.

, with services beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mary Jane’s name to Central Virginia Foodbank, 1415 Roadmiller St., Richmond, Va. 23226, and above all: be kind to one another and smile often.
