Obituary for Mary K Singler Mary K. Singler, 95, a longtime resident of Louisville, KY, died on December 19, 2018 at Nazareth Home. She was the former Mary Klibert, born in Reserve, Louisiana on October 27, 1923. A mother of eight, she deftly balanced family and a busy professional life as Partner and Office Manager of the X. F. Singler Co. and Bluegrass Landscaping Co

She was a graduate of Soule College and attended Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her accomplishments were many: she was a Kentucky Colonel and a Kentucky Extension Master Gardener. She participated in a number of community and civic organizations, including membership in the Church of the Ascension, the Melbourne Heights Homemakers Club, and the Ladies Auxiliary 1170 of Middletown VFW Post.

She and her husband were also very active in the German Club of Louisville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Xavier F. Singler; her parents, Elmore Klibert and Eugenie Catoire Klibert; and her sister Judy Cancienne and brothers-in-law, Robert Cancienne and Albert Lasseigne. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Joseph) Payne of Fleming Island, FL; Anita (Gil) Steiner of Toronto, Canada; Marjorie (Dr. Rowell Potts) Singler of Lafayette, CA; Mary (Dr. Lee Rafales) Singler of Cincinnati, OH; and Dr. Juliette (Mike Wilson) Singler of San Diego, CA; sons, Dr. Ron (Marti Rotter) Singler of Seattle, WA; Christopher (Allison) Singler, and John (Beth Loeffler) Singler, Esq.

of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; as well as sisters, Gilda (Albert) Lasseigne of Houma, LA and Patty (Guy) Clement of La Place, LA. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the compassionate care and support provided by the staff of Nazareth Home.

Funeral Mass will be on December 28th at 10:00am at Church of the Ascension, 4690 Lynnbrook Dr., Louisville, KY with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens, 279 Landis Ln, Mt Washington, KY 40047. Visitation will be held December 27th, from 3:00- 8:00pm at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Rd, in St. Matthews. Memorial expressions may be made to Boys Haven, 2301 Goldsmith Ln.
