Obituary for Norma Frasure Boyd Norma Jean Boyd, 81, of Louisville, Ky, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018. Norma was born to the late Willie Graden Frasure and Lizzie Malinda Keathley of Floyd County, Ky. She was retired from a career in social work in Floyd, Pike and Magoffin counties.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lorraine Frasure Bryant. She is survived by four children, Janet L. Boyd (Daniel Rudyk), David L. Boyd, Willard R. Bentley and Hattie E. Haller (Roy); nine grandchildren, Brian Mahoney, Wes Keeton, Jeff Castro, Cat Boyd, Aspen Bentley, Rachel Bentley, Larissa Ramsey, Madeline Haller and Andrew Haller; and two great grandchildren, Stella Rose Keeton and Clementine Castro. Norma leaves behind a host of other family members and friends from across the globe.

The legacy of her social work career is the many hundreds of children for whom she found loving foster and adoptive homes, as well as the families she helped to stay together. If ever there was a person who practiced unconditional love, it was Norma. She was a friend to everyone she met.

Her interests ranged far and wide from metaphysics to philosophy to science. With her great sense of adventure, Norma loved having new experiences and going to new places. She never considered herself lost – any wrong turn was just another route for getting where she was going.

Norma was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of Norma’s life will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Woodmont Clubhouse located at 4120 Woodmont Park Lane, Louisville, Ky 40245. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Norma Jean Boyd to the Louisville Library Foundation to support the Middletown Branch of the Louisville Free Public Library.
