Obituary for Mary L. Masler (Gill) Mary L. Masler, 98, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2018 at Meriden Center. Born in Denver on April 18, 1920, the daughter of the late Edward and Marie (Wiethoff) Gill, Mary came to Meriden during World War II where she resided for 75 years, met her husband of 61 years, Peter W. Masler (deceased), worked for New Departure and Pratt & Whitney. She was a model, an accomplished artist and a parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church in Plantsville.
She is survived by her brother, Frank Gill (Margie) of Denver, daughter, Elizabeth Masler and partner Corrado Pantano of Bolton, sons, Edward Masler (Carol) of Beltsville, Maryland, and Gill Masler (Gail) of Meriden, grandchildren, Elizabeth Masler, Patrick Masler, Peter Ledwith III, and Kevin Ledwith, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Barbara (Kuna), Frances (Sewolt) and Madelyn (Panek), and brothers, Edward and Walter. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, December 14th at 11 a.m. at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St, Plantsville, CT 06479.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 250 Gypsy Lane, Meriden, CT 06450. Friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to Mass.
