Mary L. VanVliet, age 91, of Madison passed away July 9, 2018. She was born March 5, 1927 in Cleveland to Karl and Lucille (Di Masi) Weiss. Mary was married to her husband John C. VanVliet for 62 years prior to his passing in 2012.

Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Madison where she was a member of the choir for many years because of the love of music. Mary was very active with the Madison Senior Center and was a Tops member for 20 years and a KOPS for 10 years where she met her extended family. Mary was employed by Lake Hospital Systems in Painesville and University Hospital in Geneva as a Administrative Secretary.

Mary is survived by her loving daughters Rosemary Cox (George Wright) of Mentor, Lucille (David) Klingensmith of Leavittsburg, Oh. Grandchildren Lisa and John (Megan), Sister Jean Dugan, many nieces and nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Friday at the Potti Funeral Home 2726 Hubbard Rd.

Madison, Ohio 44057 A Funeral Mass for Mary will be 1:00 PM Saturday July 14th, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Church 2846 Hubbard Rd. Madison, Ohio. Burial will be private.
