M. with the visitation beginning at 9:00 A. M. at . St. Paul B. C. in Ville Platte, LA Burial will be in St. Paul B. C. Cemetery. Rev Herman Arvie will officiate the homegoing celebration.

Sister Mary Lee was called to rest on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Mercy Regional Hospital after a long illness. Sister Mary Lee leaves to mourn: her husband, Morris Thomas, Sr. (Miyo), six children, Nita Mae Thomas(Jerry) of Ville Platte, Haze Jack(Herman) of Ville Platte, Mary Ann Deville (David) of Houston, Texas, Drucilla Thomas of Ville Platte, Morris Thomas(Angela) of Lafayette, Joseph Thomas(Cynthia) of Ville Platte; 22 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joseph and Eunice Doucet, daughter, Terry Lee Roy, Son-n-law Willie Roy, Sr.; grandson: Marcus Sam; great- grandson: Aaron Sam; sisters, Edolia Thomas, Lou Ella Mitchell; brothers, John “J.D.” David, Nelson, Felton, and Dennis Doucet; grandfather Zenon Gallow and sister-n-law Orena Doucet.

She is survived by three sisters, Lou Bertha McDaniel(James) of Huntsville, Alabama, Eula Mae Guillory and Mary Jane Acclis of Beaumont, Texas; three brothers, Edgar, Shelton Doucet(Delores), of Ville Platte, and Winston(Cathy) of Ville Platte; 5 Godchildren, Robert Thomas, Nelson Thomas, Barbara Thomas, Rodriecus (Cortez) Williams and Samantha Griffin. Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Ville Platte is in charge of arrangements.
