Life Story for Mary Hevey (Woodruff) Mary Hevey – nee Woodruff, formerly Mary Lou Gill, went to be with our Lord on June 22, 2018, at the young age of 83. Mary was born in New Cumberland, PA on August 29, 1934. Beloved wife of the late William John Gill and the late James George Hevey, devoted and loving mother of the late Gloria O’Dea & husband Ken, Joann Franklin & husband Kevin, Mike Gill & wife Francie, and Barry Gill & wife Lisa.

Mary was predeceased by her brother William Woodruff and sister Charlotte Harmon. Mary is survived by her sister Susan Bateman and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Mary was the loving Nanny to ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Mary had a diverse employment history, including the Social Security Administration. Following her retirement from the SSA, Mary devoted many years to elderly caregiving. Throughout her life, Mary devoted much time with charitable activities, including Meals on Wheels, and the Oriole Advocates, even serving a term as the organizations President.

Mary was a devout Catholic which brought her great peace and solace. In honor of Mary’s love and promotion of baseball, her family encourages donations to be made to the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation at www. ripkenfoundation.org/donate .

A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm.
