Mary Lou Tracy, age 78, of Elwood, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton. Mary Lou was born in Elwood on December 8, 1940 to the late Joseph and Sarah (Stage) Davis. On November 28, 1964 she married Billy Joe Tracy, Sr., and they shared 32 years of marriage together.

Mary Lou retired in 1998 from Harvest Market where she worked in the deli department for many years. She was a member of the Elwood Moose Ladies Auxiliary. Mary Lou enjoyed Nascar and she was an avid reader.

Mary is survived by her son, Howard “Andy” (Dara) Tracy of Elwood, daughter, Brenda Knapp of Champaign, IL, grandchildren, Joshua Tracy (Fiance Lauren Clark), Daulton Tracy (Fiance Alley Hosier), Darson Tracy, Jenson Tracy, David Knapp and Ashley Knapp, great grandchildren, Addyson Jacks, Brynneleigh Tracy, Emersyn Tracy and Adalie Tracy, sister, Linda Frye of Elwood, special friend, Rhonda Headley of Elwood and several nieces & nephews Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Billy Joe Tracy, Sr., step father, Carl Seybert, daughter, Diana Marie Seely and sister Diana Marie Davis. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Rev. Roger Gardner officiating.

Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation for family & friends will be Monday, May 20, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
