Mary Ruth DeYoung, 58, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Mary was born May 27, 1960 in Chicago, IL to the late William Scott Reed and Rosemary Ashburn Reed. She was a member of Biltmore Church.

Mary was a great cook who loved to cook for large groups. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family and was always praying for friends in need. Surviving Mary is her loving husband of 16 years, Nicholas W. DeYoung; sons: Daniel Lowery of Somerville, MA, Matthew Lowery of Myakka, FL; brothers: Charles Reed and wife, Susan, of Weaverville, NC, John Reed, and wife, Debbie, of Lake Forest, CA; step- children: Nick, Zach, Mike, and Sara DeYoung, and nine step grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, November 6, 2018 to celebrate her life.
