Fred Andrew Huntsinger, 69, of Leicester, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville. Fred was born in Buncombe County, on July 24, 1949, to the late Carl Andrew Huntsinger and Eva Jean Godfrey Huntsinger. He was married to his wife of 49 years, Shirley Bowens Huntsinger.

Fred worked in construction as a drywall specialist. He was a devoted Elvis Presley fan who enjoyed playing the guitar. Most of all, Fred was devoted to his family, whom he loved dearly.

He had the biggest heart there ever was or will be. He will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Shirley Huntsinger of Leicester; three daughters, Wanda Worley and husband Robert of Marshall, Sherry Norton of Asheville, and Jackie Norton of Leicester; three sons, Freddie Huntsinger, Lee Huntsinger, and Chris Huntsinger, all of Leicester; a brother, Phillip Huntsinger of Asheville; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
