Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Sue “Biddie” Vance Fulton will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church at Lawrence with the Rev. Travis Watkins, Rev. Victor Bugg, and Rev.

William Savell officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mary Sue Gibbs was born in Newton County in the Gibbstown community on Friday, May 11, 1934. She passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018 at her daughter’s home after a brief illness. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who had a happy personality, living each day to the fullest.

She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and always wanted to be “on the go”. She was a member of Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, where she enjoyed the fellowship of friends and family. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Vance and Rodney Fulton; her parents: Clarence and Sadie Fagan Gibbs; one sister: Myrtis McCrory and two brothers: Bill Gibbs and Charles Willis Gibbs.

She is survived by one daughter: Rita Vance of Brandon; two grandchildren: Dana Vance-Davis, and her husband, David; and Casey Vance and his wife: Linda; two great-grandchildren: Kayleigh Vance and Madeline Davis; one sister: Mamie Nester of Lake; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
