Obituary for MaryAnn Townsend MaryAnn Calloway Townsend, age 78, of Hudson, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born in Caldwell County on April 25, 1940, she was the daughter of the late John Calloway and Ada Cline Calloway. She was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church.
She was married to the “love of her life” for sixty-one years. Survivors include her dear husband, Troy Junior Townsend, her children, Karen Laws, Danny Townsend and Christopher Townsend of Hudson, NC. Also surviving are grandchildren: Cody Townsend (Hillary), Kaitlyn Townsend, James Huffman (Lorie), Chad Huffman (Crystal), Adam Townsend, Jessica Townsend, Wesley Townsend, Jeremy Winebarger, along with eight great grandchildren and two great grandbabies on the way.
MaryAnn put Jesus and the church in the forefront of her life and lead by example. She enjoyed the outdoors, reading, camping and spending time with her family. She touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends at Harris Chapel Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 12:00-1:30 PM with the Service to follow at 1:30 and officiated by Rev. Ron Burgett. Burial will be in the Harris Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
