OBITUARY Mattie L. Fields March 15, 1928 – September 7, 2018 Funeral service for Mattie L. Fields, 90, of Alexandria, will be 3 pm, Monday, September 10, 2018, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Donald Fields and Pastor Rick Foote officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1 – 3 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fields passed away on Friday in Birmingham. Survivors include her son, Robert Fields, granddaughters, Kristyn Fields and Autumn Jones, several nieces and nephews and several great and great-great-nieces and nephews and a very large host of foster children. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving caregiver Paula and Tony Green and their families.

Mrs. Fields is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Fields, son, Tommy Fields, her parents John Aldon and Pearl Daniel, three brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers will be David Morris, Phil Green, Austin Hudgins, Tim Mize, Shawn Ragsdale and Dale Green. Mrs. Fields was loved by many far and wide.

She was an angel to the 358 foster children that she touched their lives. She will be greatly missed.
