Obituary for Maurice D. Lipply Maurice D. Lipply, 79, of North Manchester, Indiana passed at 7:14 am, Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital of Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1939 in Silver Lake, Ind. to Ezra B. and Gertrude B. (Doub) Lipply.
He married on June 9, 1957 in Wabash, Ind. to Janet Crow, she survives. He was a dairy farmer until 1987.
He had also worked for Manchester College. He was a 1957 graduate of Laketon High School where he played basketball. He played basketball until his 40’s.
He most recently attended Collamer Christian Church and had been a member of the South Pleasant United Methodist and Silver Creek Church of God. He was also a member of the American Guernsey Cattle Association. He enjoyed watching sports and was avid IU fan as well as Notre Dame Football.
He, with his wife, was awarded in 1973 the Most Outstanding Guernsey Dairy Farmer in the United States. Survivors and place of residence: Wife –Janet Lipply – North Manchester, Ind. Son –Gary and wife Diana Lipply – Plymouth, Ind.
