Obituary for Mrs. Maxine L. Oliver Maxine L. Oliver, age 77, passed away on the morning of Friday, June 1, 2018. Maxine was born April 5, 1941 in Jackson, MI to George E. and Eleanor G. (Garred) Stevens. Her husband, Lawrence D. (Larry) Oliver preceded her in death on May 31, 2017.

She is survived by her sister, Nancy (Edward) Hamlin and brother, Danny (Wilma) Stevens. Her children are Eliana (Marty) Gifford, Lawrence Daniel (Gladys) Oliver Jr., Shannon Tober, Nathan (Kamara) Oliver and stepdaughter, Kathleen Oliver-Tavres. Her grandchildren are Jael (Izan) Sojo, Dylan (Molly) Tober, Jeanice Sylvester and Zoey Oliver; also, a step-grandson, Scott Oliver-Tavres; great-grandson, Finleigh Tober and two step-greatgrandchildren, Alexander and Jasmine Jenson.

Preceding her in death along with her beloved husband, Larry, were her parents; her brother, Ora Stevens; her youngest son, Bryan; a granddaughter, Brehana Sylvester; and a step-granddaughter, Nicole Jenson. She is survived by others including in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. She was a member of the North Muskegon congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She will be truly missed by those who loved her. A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Saturday, June 16, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Marty Gifford officiating. Interment will be in Fruitland Township Cemetery.
