Maxine Wargo, 88 of Elizabethtown PA passed away peacefully on June 28, 2018 at the Masonic Village. Born October 22 1929 and raised in Hanover PA, Maxine was one of ten children. She loved animals especially her cats Marble and Oreo.

She also enjoyed spending time at family gatherings and going out to dinner with friends. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and going to the movies and theater. Maxine retired from the Masonic Homes where she worked in the employee dining hall.

She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Wargo, her mother Lilly Venis, father John W Lansinger, brother Frank Lansinger and sisters Virginia Harwanko and Lois Foster. Surviving family includes her son Michael Wargo, daughter-in-law Toiya Wargo, grandchildren LaToiya Billy and Ranetta (Gerald) Brown, great grandchildren Riley, Grayson and Geremiah Brown. Her siblings include: Betty Sterner, Dolores Claytor, Skip (Dottie) Venis, Arlene Venis, Catherine (Rich) Smith and Ted (Connie) Venis.

She will also be sadly missed a close friend Anna L Fouse and by many nieces and nephews. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Maxine will be held at the Kenworthy Funeral Home 269 Frederick Street, Hanover PA on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. A viewing and time to share memories will be held 1:30-2:30 pm.

Funeral Services immediately following. Interment will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. Memories and condolences may be shares at www.
