Beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2019. She was 51 years old. Melissa was born in Saginaw on November 10, 1967.

Melissa had a deep love for her children and grandchildren. She also had a passion for gardening and tending to flowers and loved animals, especially her dog, Honey. She is survived by her two children, Lauren Lovett and Justice (Mercedes) Lovett; four grandchildren, Skylar, Brieanna, Troy and Isaac; her mother Elizabeth and step-father Jack; a sister, Melanie; three step-brothers, Jeff, Kirk, and Doug (Mitzi) Sargent; and several cousins that will miss her dearly.

She is predeceased by her father, Richard Voelker. According to her wishes her body has been donated to the University of Michigan to help further research in heart disease. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road.

Rev. Ted McColluch will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
