Mr. Melvin Guillory Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Ville Platte, LA, for Mr. Melvin Guillory, 87, who entered eternal rest, Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte, LA. Interment will be in Mt.

Pilgrim Baptist Cemetery in Tate Cove, LA on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 9:00 AM. Mr. Guillory is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alicia Jacob Guillory of Ville Platte, LA; four sons, Herman Guillory (Linda) of Baton Rouge, LA, Melvin Guillory, Jr. of Lafayette, LA, Walter Lee Guillory (Mary Beth) of Bayou Chicot, LA and Phillip Guillory (Karissa) of Carencro, LA; two daughters, Delores Fontenot (Louis) of Opelousas, LA and Earline Smith (Peter Jr.) of Arnaudville, LA; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; six brothers, Kelly Guillory, Jr. (Merciler) of Ville Platte, LA, David Guillory (Mary) of Beaumont, TX, Fredrick Guillory (Nora), Johnny Guillory (Sherry), Junious Guillory all of Houston, TX and Wilbert Guillory (Margarette) of Riverside, TX; seven sisters, Hazel Freeman (Lorenzo) of Chataignier, LA, Lee Ester Green of New Orleans, LA, Carolyn Wilson, Joyce Ben, Odelia Ernest, Mary Alice Sally (Charles) of Houston, TX and Dora Lee Richard of Port Arthur, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Guillory was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly Guillory, Sr., Carrie Tate Guillory and LaVoice Guillory; four brothers and four sisters.
