Merlyn William Bahmann, 90, of West Des Moines, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at ManorCare Health Services in West Des Moines. Merlyn was born March 21, 1928, at Whittemore, Iowa to Christian and Amanda (Haack) Bahmann. He was baptized April 18, 1943, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church at Wilbert, Minnesota.

Merlyn worked as a truck driver from 1956 until his retirement in 2004. Merlyn is survived by his two daughters: Anna Marie Harms of Indianola and Donna (Jim) McGrean… Read More » of Indianola; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lois Mosloski; and his brother, Willis Bahmann.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 30 at Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Croix Hospice in memory of Merlyn. Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
