Obituary for Mi’layah Doris Ellis Baby Mi’layah Doris Ellis became an angel on Friday, April 13, 2018, the day she was born at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center in New Hartford. She was the daughter of Anna Griffin and Michael Ellis. While in her mom’s womb, Mi’layah had her own personality and posed for her sonograms.

While on this earth so briefly, they felt blessed that she was Baptized at the hospital. Chosen to be her godfather was Marcus Reed and her godmother Tikeya Miller. Mi’layah will remain in the hearts of her mother Anna and her father Michael; her sisters and brothers, Antanijah, Kavon, Emmanuel, Ty’gre, Kaniyah, Raequan Jr., Na’Nayshia, and Laquea.

She was preceded by her sister, A’Arah A. Miller who passed away on September 20, 2011. She will also be remembered by her maternal grandparents, Doris and Otis; paternal grandmother, Pearl; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center/Maternity Ward, especially nurse Corinne Comito who was a great of strength and compassion.

The family will commemorate Mi’layah’s angelic life at a private time. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. “You were here for a moment… but left a lifetime of love”.
