Obituary for Mr. Michael Anthony Jardine Michael Anthony Jardine, 57, of Franklinville, died Monday, October 1, 2018 at Randolph Health in Asheboro. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Please email majhomeyougo@gmail.com for further information.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, on February 6, 1961, Mr. Jardine was the son of the late Alexander Jardine and Carmen Morrison. Michael graduated from Prospect Heights High School in Brooklyn, NY. Michael had 13 years of service with The City University of New York, Baruch College as a Sergeant in the department of Public Safety.

He was well loved and well respected by the officers and the entire Baruch Community. In August 2006, he left Baruch to move to NC to accept a position at the NC Zoo. A man of many wives, Michael met his current wife in 1995 during his time at Baruch College and they became good friends.

It wasn’t until 2006 when they fell in love, and in 2009 got married. Michael spent his last days with his wife doing what he loved, watching crime dramas and sports on television. Surviving him are his wife, Alicia Jardine; son, Michael Jardine Jr.; daughter, Sherlicia Jardine; stepdaughters, Tyla Beaman, Yolanda Garner and husband, Kevin, and Kelli Bryce; stepson, Marcellus Murray Jr.; brother, Carl Jardine and wife, Karen; sisters-in-law, Monica Jackson and husband, James, Stacy Shaw, and Paige Butler and husband, Jeff; brother-in-law, Von Spencer and wife, Rita; granddaughters, Brooklyn Jardine, Olivia Jardine, and Janiya Elliott; grandson, Samir Jardine; several nieces and nephews whom he adored; and a host of family and friends.

The body will lie in state from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and the family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101; or to the family. Previous Events Visitation , OCT 12.
