Hanik, Michael C. Sr., 90, Lorain Borough, passed away September 9, 2018 at the Lutheran Home at Johnstown. Born May 11, 1928 in Johnstown, son of the late Wasil and Anastasia (Korsk) Hanik. Preceded in death by wife, Mary (Farkas) Hanik; brothers, Stephen and John; sisters, Mary and Olga; infant brother, Peter; daughter in law, Carol Williams Hanik; and grandson, Michael III.

Survived by loving children, Michael Jr. married to Rose; Stephen Hanik; Chip married to Dianna; Cassy married to Daniel; William married to Charlotte; and Nancy married to Warren; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the last member of his immediate family. Mike was retired from U.S. Steel Corp.

, and a member of Moxham P.N.A., Moxham G.B.U., Jenners Rod & Gun Club and a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Woodvale. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12th, at MOSKAL & KENNEDY COLONIAL FUNERAL HOME, 219 Ohio St. Johnstown, where Parastas will be held at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Sept.

13th, at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Fr. Jim Davidson. Committal St. Vladimir Cemetery.
