Ralph J. Boyle, Sr., 82, Ferndale, died August 31, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center. Born November 30, 1935 in Johnstown, son of John E. “Jack”, Sr. and Agnes (Gray) Boyle. Preceded in death by parents; brother, John E. “Jack”, Jr.; and granddaughter, Maggie George.

Survived by wife, Helen (Emerick), whom he married August 22, 1959; children, Mary Ann George (Ken Jubas), Portage; Ralph; Robert (Daun Kuzma); William (Susan Keim); and James M. (Susan Wuckovich), all of Johnstown; 18 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Mary Jean Boyle, Waynesboro; and Judy Rice, Somerset; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ralph was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, and a life member of Ferndale VFD, where he served as treasurer for 40 years.

He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed sitting on his front porch. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. and Johnstown America, with 42 years of service.

He was a US Army veteran. Friends received from 4pm until 8pm Wednesday at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10am at St. Andrew Church, with Rev.

Angelo Patti as celebrant. Committal, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
