Michael J. Venezia, Jr. “Mickey” 86, passed away on May 19, 2018. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 7 to 9 PM at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave. , Westfield.

www. higginsandbonner.com A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:00AM at St. Helen’s RC Church in Westfield. Mr. Venezia was a junior high school teacher in Bloomfield for over 30 years before retiring.

He graduated from Seton University and received a teaching certificate from Trenton State Teacher’s College. Born in Summit, he lived in New Providence then Westfield for 50 years before moving to Pennsylvania in 2005. Mr. Venezia was predeceased by his wife, Cecelia A. (Levy) his son, David, his brother, James J and his sister Margaret “Peggy” Gerardiello.

He is survived by his son, Michael, his daughters, Rosemarie Singalewitch and Tina Wood and five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Bushkill Township Fire Dept. and Svcs.
