Michael J. Yozie, 88, of Dunbar Township, passed away on Monday May 14, 2018 at home. He was born April 10, 1930 in Uniontown, the son of the late John J. and Anna (Iski) Yozie. He was a graduate from Uniontown High School in the Class of 1948.

He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt with an honorable discharge in 1951. Mike worked in the coal mines in Maxwell, PA and 9 years for Columbia Gas of PA. He was the co-founder, along with his wife Audrey, of Yozie Mold Inc., a very well known international hobby ceramic mold manufacturer for over 45 years.

Mike was also an avid comic book collector and knew everything about comics. Mike is survived by his son Kent M. Yozie and daughter-in-law, Jody A. Watson, Ferlich, Yozie of Dunbar; step-grandchildren, Justin Ferlich and Melanie Ferlich-Hartzog of Washington, PA; step-great-granddaughter, Annabelle Skye Hartzog of Washington, PA and special friends, Retha Tissue Koval and her husband Theodore Koval of Connellsville. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Audrey Geraldine (Whipkey) Yozie, whom he loved and cherished with all his heart until his death.

Funeral Arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425. In honoring Mike’s request, arrangements will be private.
