OBITUARY Michael McMurrer February 21, 1936 – October 9, 2018 Michael McMurrer passed away on October 9, 2018 at the age of 82 in Swansea, MA. He was the loving husband of Anne Marie (Boulay) McMurrer. Born and raised in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Mary E. (Clark) McMurrer and John J. McMurrer and the devoted nephew of the late Michael J. McMurrer.

Mike is survived by his beloved children Michelle and Peter Caron of Dighton, MA, Paul and Melissa McMurrer of Wyalusing, PA and Kristen and John Rebar of Cooper City, FL. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, Zachary, Timothy and Benjamin Caron, Kaitlyn Schools, her husband Colton and their son Potter and Carly, Sydney and Lexi Rebar. He is lovingly remembered as Uncle Mike by many nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother, John J. McMurrer and his adoring sisters, Loretta Furze, Madeline Gagnon and Mary Fiddler. Mike served for four years in the United State Air Force, and later was a member of the Rhode Island Air National Guard. He was a proud alum of Bishop Coyle High School of Taunton, MA and of Johnson and Wales University of Providence, RI and he enjoyed attending many Coyle reunions.

He worked as a salesman for Providence Lithograph and E.L. Freeman in Rhode Island and Panel Prints in Pennsylvania. After his retirement from the printing industry, Mike worked as a security guard at Marywood University in Scranton, PA, where he loved his late-night conversations with students and early morning coffee with the nuns. Mike was an avid fisherman, and he enjoyed many trips to Boston, Baltimore and Ft.

Myers, FL to watch the Red Sox. He loved visiting his children and grandchildren and looked forward to the annual family reunion and clam boil each summer. Most of all, Mike will be fondly remembered by all of his family for his long stories and his ever-present sense of humor.
