Mildred Dutson Jordan, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed peacefully, surrounded by family on May 18, 2019. Mildred was born to Oakland and Martha Dutson of Oak City, Utah. She Met and married Ralph Dean Jordan of Tooele, Utah and was sealed in 1962, at the Los Angeles Temple.

She took up the care and raising of his five young daughters, who had lost their own mother. Two more children followed them. She was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, devoted to her husband in his callings, such as Home Teacher, and Ward Mission Leader in many wards, including the Mong/Laotian ward in Modesto, California; she served in various callings in the Relief Society, Young Women’s, and Primary.

She did not like attention drawn to herself but would always serve the calling in her own quiet way. Mildred was happiest when she was being active, engaged in healthy activities and out in nature, such as walking and doing yoga. Mildred is survived by her children, Dixie (Rick), Deana (Hank), Cindy (Val), Rebecca, Jason (Melissa), and Heidi, her brother George (Sandra), and other very dear family members.

A viewing will be held Friday, May 24, 2019 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM with a service following at 11:00 AM in the Pine Canyon Ward Building, 2032 Churchwood Drive, Pine Canyon, Utah. Interment will be in Oak City Cemetery, Oak City, Utah. A special thanks to Brighton/Bristol Home Health and Hospice and the Ridge in Cottonwood Assisted Living for their care and kindness.
