Mildred “Millie” L. Reinke (nee Ewert), 88, of West Bend found peace on Sunday, November 04, 2018 at the New Perspective Senior Living in West Bend. She was born on October 22, 1930 to the late Otto and Celia (nee Rady) Ewert in the Town of Hustisford. On January 19, 1952 she was united in marriage to L. James “Jim” Reinke at St. John’s Ev.

Lutheran Church in West Bend. Millie was baptized on December 7, 1930 into the faith and was a lifelong member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.

She served her Lord and the congregation through the Ladies Aide. Millie always was helping out wherever there was a need. She worked at the West Bend Company and Bend Industries as a secretary.

Millie enjoyed playing Sheepshead and traveling with the card club whom she played with for 50 years. She made lifelong friends through her enjoyment of playing card, golfing, sewing, fishing, and making quilts. Millie loved her crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

Family was the most important thing to her, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great – grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Those Millie leaves behind to cherish her memory include her two children, Steve (Pam) Reinke of West Bend and Christine Reinke of West Bend; three grandchildren, Jim Reinke, Scott Reinke, and Jeff Reinke; two great – grandchildren, Grace Reinke and Hana Reinke; two sisters, Dorothy Rick of Minnesota and Shirley Weston of West Bend; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, L. James “Jim” Reinke; a sister, Pauline Schmidt; and three brothers, Otto Ewert, Karl Ewert, and Ralph Ewert. A funeral service in remembrance of Millie will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 809 S. 6th Ave.

, West Bend. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials in Millie’s name to St. John’s Ev.

Lutheran Church to go toward the building fund to help pay for the flooding damage is appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the New Perspective, Seasons Hospice, and St. Joseph’s Hospital for all their help and care. The Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Homes have been entrusted with Millie’s arrangements.
