Obituary for Milton Fleming Milton Lamar Fleming passed away on October 1, 2018 at the age of 74 years. He was born in Kimble County, Texas on February 20, 1944, to Lem and Mary Fleming. A Memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Menard, Thursday October 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. He attended school in Junction, Texas, and graduated in 1962.

Milton was very proud of being an Eagle Scout. He was drafted into the Army and served stateside during the Viet Nam war, he oversaw artillery at Fort Hood, and he also attended gun smith school in Colorado. He was a farmer and rancher for most of his life.

In 1995 he went to work as a Loss Adjuster for the Farm Service Agency. For the last 20 years he has also worked as a Crop Insurance Adjuster for Rain and Hail Crop Insurance. Milton was a very talented man and will be missed by many.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Belinda, his son Kent Fleming and wife Cathy of Big Spring, Texas, Kent’s sons Weston Graham and Jeremy Layman, his daughter Darla and husband Corey McKenna of Liberty Hill and their sons Colton and Dalton. Milton is also survived by his sister Mag and husband Dayton Spaeth of Streeter, and his sister-in-law Barbara Fleming Franklin of Vernon, Texas; stepsons and their families, Tommy Hough and wife Gennie, Roy Garrett and Jamie Hough, Bruce Hough and wife Sally, Asa, Pake, Jessup Hough and Tye Titzman, Joe Hough and wife Lesa and their children Avery and Sadie Hough, and several nieces and nephews. Milton is preceded in death by his son Bryan Fleming, his parent’s Lem and Mary Fleming, brothers Lemuel Fleming and Russell Fleming and sister Loraine Ake.
