Minnie’s Obituary MINNIE EILEEN BURTON WRIGHT, 77, formerly of the Hollybrook community of Bland County, passed peacefully away Friday, September 28, 2018 at her son’s home in Madison, VA. She was born September 22, 1941 at Hollybrook, VA, the daughter of the late Mason Esca & Edna Gladys Morehead Burton. She was a member of Hollybrook Church of Christ.

She owned and operated Tony’s Grocery Store for over 40 years. She loved 50s music, crossword puzzles and she loved to travel, especially to the beach. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Ralph Wright, a son, Anthony Michael Wright and all of her siblings; she was the baby of her family.

Survivors include two sons, six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Minister Jim Conley and Rev. Tracy Puckett officiating.

Burial will follow in Mountain Field Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society, South Atlantic Division, Inc., ATTN: Memorial Gifts, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
