Miriam Beverly Brown, 90, of Evansville, IN passed away at 6:36 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at the home of her great-niece in Patronville, IN. She was born May 16, 1928, in Crittenden County, KY to the late Elbert W. and Ida Ann (Sutton) Brown “Mama Brown”. She graduated from Marion High School in 1946.

She was a former member of First Cumberland Presbyterian and a recent member of Morningside Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Miriam retired from the Social Security Administration in 1983 after 30 years of service and served as past president with the National Association for Retired Federal Employees (N.A.R.F. E).

She is survived by her great-niece, Karen Cruce-Smith of Patronville, IN; and nephew, Gary Cruce of Marion, KY; and many other nieces and nephews. Miriam was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Juanita Cruce, Thelma Cruce, Ophelia Johnson; and brothers, J.T. Brown and Doyle C. Brown. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, with Rev.

James Messer officiating. Burial will be in Maple View Cemetery in Marion, KY. Friends may visit from 11:00 AM until service time on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
